Terms & Conditions

1. Estimates and Quotations

All estimates are based on a visual inspection only and may be subject to change.
If additional faults are discovered during the course of repair, the customer will be contacted for approval before further work is carried out.

2. Authorisation

By leaving the vehicle with KC Garage Ltd and/or approving a quotation (verbally, electronically or in writing), the customer authorises the Company to carry out the agreed work and to operate or test drive the vehicle as necessary.

3. MOT Testing

An MOT test reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection only.
KC Garage Ltd is not responsible for subsequent mechanical or electrical failures occurring after the MOT test has been completed. Also KC Garage Ltd does not guarantee that the vehicle will pass the MOT without inspection.

4. Parts

Warranty applies only to parts supplied and fitted by KC Garage Ltd.
No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts or agreed second-hand/reconditioned parts unless confirmed in writing.
Electrical components and special-order parts are non-refundable unless proven faulty.
If a customer-supplied part is found to be unsuitable or non-functional during repair, KC Garage Ltd reserves the right to charge for labour and associated work costs.

5. Warranty

All workmanship is covered by a 3-month or 1,000 miles warranty (whichever occurs first) unless otherwise stated.
Warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, neglect, overheating, or consequential damage.
Warranty is limited strictly to repair or replacement of defective parts supplied by KC Garage Ltd.
Warranty is void if the vehicle has been inspected, dismantled, or repaired by a third party without prior written consent.
Any issue must be reported within 48 hours of discovery, and the vehicle must be returned to KC Garage Ltd for inspection.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion and prior to collection of the vehicle unless otherwise agreed in writing.
KC Garage Ltd reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until full payment has been received.
Title to all goods supplied remains with KC Garage Ltd until paid in full.

7. Storage Charges

Vehicles not collected within 48 hours of completion notification may be subject to storage charges of £20 per day.
Notification may be made by telephone, whatsapp, message, or email.

8. Abandoned Vehicles

Vehicles left uncollected for more than 30 days without prior written agreement may be treated as abandoned.
KC Garage Ltd reserves the right to recover outstanding charges through lawful means, including disposal of the vehicle in accordance with applicable legislation.

9. Limitation of Liability

KC Garage Ltd’s liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the work carried out.
The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of use, loss of earnings, or business interruption.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Customer Property

KC Garage Ltd accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.

11. Road Test and Movement

KC Garage Ltd is authorised to drive, move, and park the vehicle on public roads or premises for testing or operational purposes.

12. Major Repairs and Deposits

For major repairs (engine, gearbox, high-value or special-order parts), a deposit of up to 50% may be required.
Special-order parts are non-refundable.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

All terms, conditions, and decisions regarding the services provided are at the sole discretion of KC Garage Ltd.
By instructing KC Garage Ltd to carry out work, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
